Most of Sapporo’s department stores are located in central Sapporo, particularly around Sapporo’s major train stations – Odori, Susukino, and Sapporo Station, areas that are easily accessible by subway or on foot.
Tokyu Department Store
A major department store right by Sapporo Station, offering fashion, cosmetics, food halls and restaurants, good for a full-service shopping experience under one roof.

Parco Sapporo
Parco is located across the street from Mitsukoshi, very close to Odori Station. It is a trendy mall with many fashion boutiques, lifestyle shops, cafes, and a food floor. Linked via underground mall passages for convenience. You can access Parco from the Pole Town underground shopping area that leads to Tanukikouji.

Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store

Cocono Susukino
Cocono Susukino is a large mixed-use facility in the Susukino district of Sapporo that combines shopping, dining, entertainment, a cinema, beauty, lifestyle shops, and a rooftop terrace. It features a variety of zones: a supermarket, lifestyle and beauty stores, food courts, bars & dining, and a theater. The design emphasizes diversity and city vibrancy, especially in the evenings with neon lights and lively atmosphere. You can also get views over Susukino intersection from its outdoor terraces.

Aeon Mall Sapporo-Hassamu
A large suburban shopping mall serving the western side of Sapporo (Nishi-ku). AEON Mall Hassamu has a wide variety of specialty shops, restaurants, a large food section, supermarkets, and plenty of parking. It’s a good place for a full day’s shopping or relaxing indoors.

Sunpiazza Shopping Center
Family friendly mall with fashion shops, groceries, places to eat. Useful if you’re staying out near Shin-Sapporo.

Aeon Mall Shin-Sapporo
Large Aeon chain mall: department stores, supermarket, many shops, restaurant zone and cinema. Great for one-stop shopping.

Aeon Sapporo Teine-ekimae Shopping Center
This Aeon shopping center is situated in Teine Ward, close to the JR Teine station area (“Ekimae” means “in front of station”). It functions more like a community mall / supermarket centre rather than a massive destination mall, good for everyday shopping, groceries, household goods, etc.

Sapporo Factory
Sapporo Factory is a large shopping & entertainment complex located in a historic site on the grounds of what used to be Japan’s first brewery. It blends old and new, with red brick architecture, modern glass atriums, shops, restaurants, a cinema, and open indoor passages so you can enjoy strolling even when the weather isn’t great. The Atrium section is the bright, greenhouse-style space with high ceilings (from basement up to the 4th floor). It’s often used for seasonal events (like the Jumbo Christmas Tree in winter) and provides a very inviting indoor environment.

Sapporo Factory Atrium
The Atrium is part of Sapporo Factory; it’s the central glass-ceilinged space with high visibility and openness. It connects multiple floors and is used for events, seasonal decorations, exhibitions, and general gathering. Because of the architectural openness, it feels like an indoor garden / covered plaza, nice for relaxing, people-watching, and photo-ops.

Ario Sapporo
Ario Sapporo is a large modern shopping mall located in Higashi Ward. It includes Ario Mall with many fashion, lifestyle, and specialty stores, a big supermarket, a food court, restaurant streets, and also facilities for leisure, spa, families, etc. It’s well suited for spending a few hours or more. It’s also very accessible: close to JR Naebo Station and has good amenities like restrooms for children, strollers, etc.

Shopping Spots Outside Central Sapporo
While Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo-Kitahiroshima and Aeon Otaru are located outside of Sapporo City, they’re still convenient destinations if you have a car.
These large shopping complexes offer a wide range of stores from fashion brands and lifestyle goods to restaurants and entertainment facilities, making them ideal for a day trip or weekend outing.
Both spots provide parkings, and their spacious layouts make shopping more relaxed compared to the busy city center.
Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo-Kitahiroshima
This is one of the largest outlet malls in the Hokkaido region. A mix of global and Japanese outlet brand stores, plus a large food court, restaurants, and many shops offering discounts. It’s a popular destination if you’re looking for deals, brand name goods, and want to combine shopping with dining. Kitahiroshima is also the site Es Con Field, the new professional baseball field and community recreation area, and home of the Hokkaido Ham Fighters.

Aeon Otaru
Aeon Otaru is located in Otaru city, right near the waterfront area and close to Otaru-Chikko Station. It has the usual selection of Aeon services: supermarket, fashion & lifestyle shops, restaurants, and daily necessities. Good for combining with sightseeing in Otaru.
