Odori Park (大通公園)

Stretching through the heart of downtown Sapporo, Odori Park is a 1.5-kilometer green oasis. The park hosts many of Sapporo’s events and festivals; such as the Sapporo Snow Festival, Autumn Fest, October Fest, and more. The park runs from the the TV Tower near Sosei Kawa Park in the east, across Chuo-ku to the west. Lined with fountains, sculptures, and flowerbeds, it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy seasonal views right in the city center. Odori Park is easily accessed from Odori Station, and is close to the all of the best shopping in Sapporo.

Nakajima Park (中島公園)

A tranquil park surrounded by trees and ponds, Nakajima Park offers a relaxing escape in central Sapporo. The park features the historic Hoheikan building, the Sapporo Concert Hall “Kitara,” and charming walking paths. It’s especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn vibrant shades of red and gold. Nakajima Koen is located off the Namboku line, one stop to the south of Susukino.

Soseigawa Park (創成川公園)

Sōseigawa Park stretches along the Sosei River, which once marked the boundary between the east and west sides of Sapporo. Today, this peaceful riverside park is a refreshing green corridor running through the city center, offering a pleasant escape surrounded by modern buildings. The park features tree-lined walkways, benches, fountains, and art sculptures, making it ideal for leisurely strolls or short breaks while exploring downtown. Maruyama Park (円山公園)

A popular spot for cherry blossom viewing in spring, Maruyama Park is surrounded by lush forest trails leading to Hokkaido Shrine. Moerenuma Park (モエレ沼公園)

Asahiyama Memorial Park (旭山記念公園)

Sapporo Satoland (サッポロさとらんど)

Sapporo Art Park is the home of Sapporo Art Museum, one of the best museums in Sapporo.
